| Set
in a majestic alpine environment, with the backdrop of
Hallingskarvet, Europe's largest mountain plateau, is the resort of
Geilo. Geilo is set amidst
beautiful scenery on the banks of Ustedalen Fjord. This charming
village has been welcoming visitors since 1890, but has retained its
unspoilt appearance, full of traditional Norwegian character.
|
| Situated
in the heart of Southern Norway, Geilo has the famous Oslo Bergen
railway running through its centre. |

|
| Despite
a relatively low village height, Geilo enjoys a long and reliable
snow season from mid-November through to early May. This resort is
perfect for beginners and intermediates, whilst the more advanced
can try seven black runs. |
