clearly marked pistes and great facilities.
Villars looks across the Rhone Valley to the mountains of the
Portes du Soleil. The busy high street and chalet style buildings
rewards Villars with the aura of a charming village atmoshphere.

With its low level chalets and bustling centre, Villars
is an established resort for British skiers. Villars can be reached by
a cog railway from the valley, going up into the slopes. Its worth
staying near the main lift (which is at the opposite side of the
village to the railway), or even in Villars-Gryon to take advantage of
the gondola. |

The lift system links with Les Diablerets and its Glacier. Verbier is
within driving distance. On a sunny day, it is possible to see Mont
Blanc. There is a good mix of open and wooded
slopes. The railway goes up the mountain, feeding intermediate slopes
either side. |
