beginners
*****
beginners will appreciate the nursery slopes, which are reachable by foot from the village centre.
intermediates
****
there are numerous blue and red runs to enjoy. intermediates should take advantage of the full area lift pass. explore the vaired slopes of Les Diablerets or for more of a challenge try the 10km red from the glacier down the Combe d'Audon.
advanced
***
plenty of high mileage skiing. experts should head off-piste for more challenging terrain, particular the area reachable from the Chaux de Conches.
snowboarding
*****
this resort is increasingly being associated with snowboarding. there is some excellent freeriding in the backcountry. experts should hire a guide to fully exploit the offering. head to the funparks of Bretaye and Les Chaux. In March, Villars hosts 'snowbombing', the biggest music and snowboard festival in the Alps.
